Roger Gammans (M.ENG) - Director

Roger is our MD, and Technical Architecture specialist. He has experience building and designing a diverse range of systems with over 25 years of experience in Industry, from designing custom electronics for use in the Television Industry to designing high performance architectures for web analytics.

Roger's skills include a detailed knowledge of many programming languages as well as microelectronics design down to component level including circuit development, PCB design, microprocessor and PIC based controller development. 

He obtained a Masters in Microelectronic Systems Engineering from UMIST.

Roger has an exhaustive knowledge of Open Source systems and his key strength is coming up with the right System Architecture to get the job done.

In his spare time, Roger is often to be found at his computer, hobby programming, playing boardgames online, and writing.

Dr Paul Gammans (B.SC PH.D) - Director

Paul has developed particular skills in creating efficient man machine interfaces. He has been our lead developing a custom data analytics UX for a major ongoing study of the hospitality sector.  Paul is also expert in mechanical design using all the modern software tools including Solid Modeling.

Paul studied Industrial Design Engineering for his first degree and carried out research in the field of medical electronics earning his Doctorate for work on the analysis and synthesis of EMG signals used in Clinical Diagnosis.

When challenged to produce a design which is both functional and aesthetically pleasing Paul can always rise to the challenge.

A new father, Paul is grateful to be working from home!

Dr Colin Gammans (BSc, Ph.D Experimental Physics) - Director

The "Elder Statesman" of Gamma Science,

Colin obtained his bachelor degree in Physics with Electronics and his Doctorate for research into the area of signal analysis and correction. His career spans Academia, the Broadcast Industry, IT, and New Product Development.  He has also been a qualified Pilot!

Now semi-retired, he  loves inventing and prototyping new designs, and operates our 3D Printing Workshop, so if your project has a physical element, Colin is your man.

John Jackson - Account Manager

Our Account Manager, John, has over 38 years experience in the Contract Manufacturing and Electronics Industry. Commercially astute with a proven track record in the areas of Sales, Account, Project and Operations Management, he has operated in a number of industry sectors such as Consumer, Automotive, Defence, and Industrial. He brings a wealth of business knowledge and expertise to Gamma Science. 

As our first point of contact, John is friendly, aproachable and wise!  His greatest strengths are relationship building, organising and communicating, and with his unique ability to recognise and develop potential, he is a wizard at harnessing his own wealth of commerical experience, and our technichal expertise to support our customers to bring fledgling projects to life.

John is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and is comitted to supporting Children's and Animal Welfare Charities.

Su Jolly - Head of Business Development.

As our Soft Skills person,  Su does our Marketing and HR, looks after the website, and writes the Blog and Social Media.  

Su has had a varied career, wrangling people in large organisations.  She trained as a Journalist, before moving on to a career first in Advertising and Marketing, and then in Organisational Learning and Development, so she also designs, delivers and develops training for us.

She is Roger's partner, and as a side-hustle, has her own business as an Artist, working in a variety of media from Fibre to Watercolour.

Our growing Team of Developers and Associates boast a wide range of skills, and business expertise.  With a Century and counting of relevant development and Software skills between them, there are few problems in the SAAS and IIOT markets they can't solve, and with the support of the Directors and Business Development Team they are a force to be recokned with.
